Le mardi 26 ao\u00fbt, le tribunal r\u00e9gional de Bioko a condamn\u00e9 Balthasar Ibanga Ingonga, ancien directeur de l\u2019Agence Nationale des Investigations Financi\u00e8res (ANIF), \u00e0 huit ans de prison, en plus d\u2019une amende de 125,4 millions de francs CFA, soit environ 190 000 euros.<\/p>\n

Surnomm\u00e9 \u00ab Bello \u00bb, Ibanga est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l\u2019un des hauts responsables des instances de contr\u00f4le financier en Guin\u00e9e \u00e9quatoriale. Son nom a \u00e9t\u00e9 au centre d\u2019une affaire tr\u00e8s m\u00e9diatis\u00e9e ces derniers mois, suscitant l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat des m\u00e9dias locaux et internationaux.<\/p>\n

Selon des sources judiciaires, la condamnation fait suite \u00e0 des accusations d\u2019abus de fonctions et de d\u00e9tournement de fonds publics, ainsi que d\u2019autres infractions li\u00e9es \u00e0 sa gestion de l\u2019ANIF, l\u2019organisme charg\u00e9 de surveiller le blanchiment d\u2019argent et le financement d\u2019activit\u00e9s illicites.<\/p>\n

L\u2019affaire a pris une dimension plus large avec la diffusion d\u2019informations et de vid\u00e9os sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, suscitant un d\u00e9bat sur la gouvernance et la transparence au sein des institutions publiques.<\/p>\n

Des analystes estiment que ce jugement envoie un message fort de la part des autorit\u00e9s judiciaires de Guin\u00e9e \u00e9quatoriale sur leur engagement \u00e0 lutter contre la corruption et \u00e0 renforcer la transparence financi\u00e8re, alors que le pays fait face \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis \u00e9conomiques et sociaux croissants.<\/p>\n
